Fishing Repot 1/10/12

Anglers have been braving terrible conditions at glensherup reservoir and recording great catches. The wind and rain has made fishing uncomfortable at times but when the wind calms down fish can be seen rising all over the loch.On Sunday Doune Valley angling club braved the gale conditions and recorded 17 fish for 44 1/2lb with the biggest fish weighing in at 4 1/2lb. Hot headed damsels, black dancers, daddy long legs, buzzers and various nymphs are all working. Some recent catches include Mr Kydd 10 fish for 22lb, Amicus AC 20 fish for 57lb returning 6 fish with 1 at 7lb 4ozs, E Baglow 6 fish for 14lb returning 4 fish, R Eadie returned 8 fish, Invicta AC 10 fish for 23lb, Harry Stewart 2 fish for 5lb, Farmers AC 31 fish for 66lb, Rainbow AC 39 fish for 100lb 2ozs and returned 20 fish, Falkirk fly dressers 38 fish for 80lb 4ozs, Colin and John returned 20 fish, Brain Lane 4 fish for 10lb returning 14 fish, S Graham 3 fish for 8lb 4ozs returning 5 fish, S Cassells returned 14 fish, Phil Stafford 2 fish for 5lb returning 13 fish, Bill Cook returned 15 fish, Peter and Jim 3 fish for 10lb 1 fish at 6lb 1ozs, Jim Philbin and Jim Morris 6 fish for 12lb 12ozs returning 8 fish, Mr Prior 1 fish at 4lb 10ozs returning 3 fish
