fishing report 26/09/11

Unsettled conditions continue at the loch, but anglers have enjoyed great spor.t Damsels, Diawl bachs, small boobies and cat whiskers in a variety of colours are doing the most damage. When the wind drops dry fly always has its day on the loch. Daddies, hoppers and klinkhammers are showing the best surface sport. Glensherup trout are mostly always looking up in the very clear water for an easy meal. Persistence with dry fly will almost always catch the bigger specimens that have eluded anglers all season. Some recent catches include B Thomson 3 fish 9lb 10ozs, Ian Mclean 6-12lb, Bill Bremner 5-11lb, Mark Mclean 1- 3 1/2lb, F Scott 5-14lb 2ozs, Rainbow AC 31-71lb, Falkirk fly Dressers 37-70lb, Kats Whiskers 22-48lb, Birkhill AC 10-22lb(and lots of wine)
