fishing report 08/08/11

The rain continued to fall most of last week but it didn’t put to much of a dampener on the fishing. With the water so clear the fish are rising all over the loch. Fish between 3lb and 4lb being very common in anglers bags. Daddy long legs, hoppers and heather fly patterns are working the best but the washing line method coming a close second. Big pike are starting to get caught and released. With the biggest at 16lb, but much larger have been seen stalking around reed beds with their backs out of the water.
Some of the recent catches include Mr Harrison 6-13lb, G Duncan 5- 11lb 4ozs, Mr McDonald returned 12, Mr Scott 6-13lb, Mr Henderson 3- 6lb 8ozs, Dunfermline artisans 27- 36lb, S Dunnachie 3-6lb 7ozs, Dunfermline railway 14- 31lb and Dave and Ian returned 15.
