fishing report 02/08/11

Glensherup fished well last week. Especially for anglers who drifted and fished natural looking flys, such as daddy long legs, snatchers and damsels. Floating and midgetip lines have scored the best. The best brown trout caught this season was a natural 4lb 8ozs specimen. Caught by Scott Pozzi and returned safely to the water. The fishery had visitors from Oban last week a Mr Scott and friend. Their catch of 9-19lb were all taken on floating lines, in the blazing hot sunshine. The water levels at Glensherup are still full to the brim making the walk to the boats so much shorter.

Some recent catches include:Tullibole AC 23-47lb, Brian and Len 3-9lb 1 at 4lb 12ozs, S Pozzi returned 15, Colin and John returned 30, R Thom 5-12lb, Phil Stafford returned 9, B Mitchell 7-16lb 2ozs, P Fergison 10-24lb 2ozs and Billy Patrick returned 3
